Here is what Hilloween 2026 looked like in the Capitol Hill trick or treat hot zone. We saw baby Cookie Monster, Jimothy, and Democracy Vouchers.

With Halloween falling on a Saturday and that Saturday being mostly pretty lovely and rain-free in Seattle, crowds of candy gatherers descended on the blocks of homes just east of Volunteer Park. Trick or treater totals were reportedly lower than expected given the Saturday holiday and the weather. Maybe the nervous energy from Tuesday’s Election Day had people distracted. Maybe revelers had more Hilloween fun to choose from this year.

Either way, if anyone has leftover fun-size bars, Capitol Hill’s election-week anxiety will happily take care of them for you.
